In addition to our paddling options, there will be lots of FREE land activities and exhibitors for you to check out before or after your float! Note that activities and outfitters are subject to change.  

And when you've worked up an appetite from paddling and participating in the land activities, we've got food options to satisfy your craving!

Voyageur Park Trail Walking

Guests will enjoy exploring the beautiful river valley trails in Parkland County! A Bunchberry Meadows shuttle will run back and forth from Voyager to Bunchberry roughly every hour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will have stops at Prospectors Point, U of A Botanic Garden, and Bunchberry Meadows. There will be guided 2-hour hikes leaving from Bunchberry Meadows at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. 


The Devon Nature Club will guide you through the trails within walking distance of Voyageur Park while noting points of interest and educating about the native plants & wildlife.

Find hidden treasures in the river valley around Voyageur Park for a chance to win a prize pack from the River Valley Alliance!

Alberta Parenting for the Future will be on site hosting a kids zone.

Tipi Teachings by Grassland Tipi

Elder Phillip Campiou will begin the day by teaching about a traditional Tipi raising followed by a variety of Indigenous teachings and demonstrations throughout the day.

AQ Outdoors/Aquabatics Edmonton

Aquabatics Edmontonwho are also running EPCOR RiverFest’s kayak 101 and kayak fishing clinicswill be on site to answer your questions about their first Edmonton store and get you all geared up for getting active on the water!


Edmonton Canoe

Edmonton Canoe will challenge you with a canoe throw rope contest OR a canoe paddle balance contest with prizes available for successful participants!

Edmonton Overlanders Orienteering Club & Kids Run Wild

Try orienteering for free and get introduced to this fun family activity.

Leduc #1 Energy Discovery Centre

Build a hydro dam, send water through a pipeline without causing any spills or leaks, and check out the reclamation box.


Devon Fire Department Water Rescue 

The Devon Fire Department’s Water Rescue team and boat will be on display providing water safety tips and information.

The Ripple Affect

Launched at Devon’s 2017 EPCOR RiverFest event, attendees learned about the importance of watersheds while painting the first batch of wildlife cut-outs that are now displayed on the fence. The goal of this project is to bring awareness to the community about the importance of protecting the North Saskatchewan River and the river valley while displaying some locally crafted public art for everyone to enjoy.
