downstream in FORT SASKATCHEWAN
They really know how to paint the town in Fort Saskatchewan. It is great to see three communities – the City of Fort Saskatchewan, Sturgeon County and Strathcona County – coming together to pull off one party.
Date: Sunday, August 12
Here are the finer details:
Water Lovers – The boat launch at West River’s Edge is the departure point for 50 EPCOR RiverFest rafts, but we plan to show off the many ways we enjoy the water. Consider fishing in our trout pond, try a stand up paddle board, or bring your own canoe and join the canoe tour from Strathcona to the festival.
Lifejackets will be available for the float, but if you have your own, you’re welcome to bring it along.
Land Lovers – Hosting a good party is something we know how to do. Major attractions include the River Valley Trekkers and an Artisan’s Fair.
Come spend the afternoon with us and enjoy everything West River’s Edge has to offer. Along with family activities and food trucks, try geocaching, orienteering, or yoga, or learn about river creatures, river quality and river erosion from our local experts.
